OUR MISSION
The mission of the Digitalization Center is twofold: on the one hand, it is responsible for the development of the A-Z OPUS life-path database; on the other hand, it provides the database with content. In connection with this, it compiles the career profiles of individual creators, updates and maintains the data, and carries out digitization (scanning and video recording). In the database—serving as the artistic life-path database of the Hungarian Academy of Arts—we present the works of academicians, the major milestones of their careers, and their connections. Our motto, “from analogue art to digital heritage”, summarizes the mission of the platform. The database contains 45,000 works and 26,000 images; its significance lies in presenting Hungarian artistic heritage in a structured, contemporary form. ••• OUR ORGANIZATION Örs Csete serves as the Head of the Digitalization and Reference Library Department at MMA Publishing, with Andrea Petres leading the database development project. ••• OUR SERVICES Our services are available exclusively to academicians and include scanning, recording and editing video life-path interviews, data research, and uploading materials to the database. ••• WHERE?
