Marcell Jankovics is an emblematic figure of Hungarian animated cinema. Beyond his work in film, he achieved distinction in several other fields: as a cultural historian, the author of popular works on cultural history, an illustrator, and a creator of numerous television programmes. His body of work has become a defining part of Hungarian culture.
