From early childhood, he has lived for most of his life in two counties of north-eastern and eastern Hungary – Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén and Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg – regions exceptionally rich in historical, cultural, and artistic traditions. Alongside his parents and grandparents, his schools and later his reading, it was the heritage radiating from these places that shaped his intellectual credo.
