In the course of Hungarian film history, a number of enduring creative partnerships have emerged (for example Miklós Jancsó – Gyula Hernádi, Béla Tarr – László Krasznahorkai). Yet the “triumvirate” formed by Barna Kabay, Imre Gyöngyössy, and Katalin Petényi may be regarded as unique, since their bond was not merely a professional collaboration and friendship, but a mission in the fullest sense of the word.
