Tamás Kárpáti

painter

Budapest, 25 December 1949

Full member of the Hungarian Academy of Arts (2011–)

Developed steadily since the 1970s, the oeuvre of Tamás Kárpáti has been shaped through an exceptionally slow and deliberate process of work. His paintings were matured through sustained meditation and reflection, and, in attempts at their description and interpretation, a wide range of significant considerations may be brought into play.
