State award for artists who have long created outstanding artistic achievements in Hungarian national culture and in the fields of theatre, music, dance, circus arts, film, fine arts, photography, and applied arts, and who have already received an art award granted by the minister responsible for culture. The recipient is entitled to use the title “Meritorious Artist of Hungary” (short: “Meritorious Artist”).
