How else could I start writing about the painter Sándor Juhász than with Mártély. With that village lying eight kilometres north-west of Hódmezővásárhely, beside a backwater of the RIver Tisza, to which he returned regularly every summer for three decades. The place where he bought a house, created a home for himself, and, last but by no means least, where his creative career was renewed, fulfilled and rose to its peak.
