He studied at the Music Academy in Kolozsvár (Cluj, Romania) (1954) and taught in Kalotaszeg (Țara Călatei, Romania), Moldva (Moldova, Romania) (1955–) and Gyimes (Ghimeș, Romania) (1956–).
